Manish Sisodia advised HRD minister to do some big experiment, now the old way of studying cannot continue further
Sisodia said, After Corona, old-fashioned studies cannot be conducted ant longer, major changes are needed in education and we should take the initiative for ourselves and not wait for something new to happen abroad and then copy it.
Sisodia also said in his letter, “Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said sometime back that we have to build the habit of living with Corona. In such situation, opening schools with appropriate security measures would be a better step in right direction. ”
Firstly, we have to assure every child is important to us. Everyone has equal rights over the physical and intellectual environment of his/her school. It would be impossible to pursue education only by calling senior children to school and keeping junior children at home. We have to make learning more efficient.
According to the letter, online education is only a complementary system of learning in school, it cannot be the only option. Whatever guidelines are being issued to open schools, the children of all ages and all classes should be given equal opportunities. Our next step should not be based on prejudices to prioritize senior children over younger ones but equal opportunities to both.
Sisodia also suggested that instead of continuing schooling by reducing syllabus slightly, we should now make such a system that we rise above the concept of completing the syllabus year after year.
Sisodia also mentioned in his letter some concrete suggestions for changes in the education system of secondary, senior secondary grades. He has written that instructions should be given to NCERT and CBSE to free the students from the clutches of syllabus based rote-exam and make course more viable
