The clock rings at 6AM sharp, Rashmi rushes to stop the alarm, trying not to raise her husband and daughter. She moves out of her pitch dark bedroom to balcony to get some clarity in thoughts and to untangle the emotional complications she was feeling. As she moves out, she feels sunlight on her face which was making its way through the branches of a big mango tree in her backyard. The chirping of birds and cold wind on her skin felt amazing and the silence of the morning was soothing and calming. It was a beautiful morning, but something about it was different. Rashmi was feeling something that she never felt before. She was happy, afraid, possessive, loving, proud and even sad, all at the same time, as today was the day when her daughter was going to school for the first time. She couldn't wrap her mind around the thought that she have to leave her daughter alone all by herself for an entire day, as In all these years there was never a time when her little daughter went out of her sight even for a second. Struggling with these rushing thoughts and entangled and upsurged emotions, she looked up in the open clear blue sky. There were few little birds flying with their mother, and suddenly she realised that she also wanted her daughter to fly in the open world but under her own sheltered wings, which she knew was not possible. She understood that she has to let her daughter go and let her have her own share of experiences which doesn't involve her mother. With a more clear mind she moves back in the room, and as she opens the curtain, her gaze gets stuck on her sleeping daughter. Her face was glowing because of the sunlight falling on her, the color of her beautiful hairs turned brown and buttons of her clothing started sparkling, she stood there looking at her, completely mesmerised by her beauty. She gave her a gentle kiss on her forehead and woke her husband Rakesh, who was already late for his morning jog. Today he got an excuse to not go for the run as he also wanted to be there for her daughter.
Finally little Riya wakes up, both of them get her ready and take her to school. Then comes the moment when she was about to go all alone in the world for the first time. Both of them accompanied her to the classroom and kissed her goodbye. Rakesh went to his office and Rashmi came back home. She felt all alone as she had no one to take care of and play with, and was waiting desperately for the clock to hit 1.00 so that she could be with her daughter again. She reached school half an hour early to pick her up. Seeing her daughter coming back with her little bag on her shoulders, Rashmi's heart filled with pride and eyes with tears. She kept on asking her about her day at school, the entire day. From the next day things felt little easy. Everything felt good, life was happy, days passed faster and it was almost about a month since her daughter started going to school. Today, Rashmi was very happy and had all the arrangements, she cooked all dishes that riya likes, as today was her birthday, but Riya seemed a bit off after the school. Rashmi enquired about her day and everything was usual but by the evening the temperature of her body started rising. She started coughing and got tremendously ill. Rashmi couldn't figure out what happened to her, everything was normal the other day. Her heart sunk in pain, seeing her sweetheart struggle like this. She immediately called Rakesh. He rushed home with a doctor who diagnosed her with dengue. He gave her few medicines and advised some rest. Fortunately, she recovered fast and was ready to go to school again. But Rashmi couldn't put her finger on the cause of her daughter's illness. She took care of everything, took all the precautions, then how could it happen. So this time when she went to drop her daughter to school, she had a quick casual tour of the school campus and the cause of Riya's illness became crystal clear after that.
There was a lot of garbage spread around here and there, proper cleaning was not done, even the classrooms were not cleaned properly and the bathrooms were worse than public toilets. she furiously went to principal's office to confront her about the sanitary conditions of the school and threatened her to file complaint against her school. She took Riya, and came back home immediately. Rakesh came back from the office in the evening all tired and she was waiting there raging as furious fire waiting to confront Rakesh head-on for not properly checking the school campus before getting their daughter enrolled there. The argument went on for a while only to realise that it was very hard for Rakesh to go through the entire campus of all the schools in the neighborhood. Once again the school hunt began and in the process, Rashmi's friend suggested an online website named SCHOOL ASTRO to look for the schools. It has all the schools in one's neighborhood with extensive information about them and everything is available at one screen in the comfort of one's home. Finding best schools for one's kid has never been so easy. Using SCHOOLASTRO they found the best school for their daughter and at far too less tuition fee, as they were able to compare fee among different schools. Everyone is happy now, and Riya is expanding her wings to fly. Find best schools for your kid near you on SCHOOLASTRO and give him/her the best school that he/she deserves.
